Who Am I?

Motion Designer | Illustrator | Animator

My name is Nina Anderson, a Houston Texas based Digital Artist. As an artist, I am committed to representation, inclusivity, and celebrating Black history and culture. I believe in the power of storytelling to shape how children of color see themselves and their place in the world. My work strives to create spaces where young audiences feel seen, valued, and empowered.

Upon graduation, I aim to contribute to the animation and illustration industries by shaping projects that reflect the diverse experiences of today’s youth. I’m passionate about using animation to inspire, educate, and foster empathy, while celebrating the stories of marginalized communities.

Ultimately, I believe every child deserves to see themselves in the art which they engage. I am dedicated to amplifying voices, cultures, and narratives that deserve to be heard.

Who is the Cookie Lady?

"Cookie Lady Cartoons" comes from my grandmother, affectionately known as the "Cookie Lady" in our family and community. She has always been my biggest supporter; nurturing my creativity from a young age. Simultaneously baking cookies and encouraging my artistic pursuits, she has always been there for me. The name honors her loving spirit and her vital role in inspiring my art. The name serves as a tribute to her unwavering support throughout my career. I love you Mama Jean <3.
